Linkage: Christmas Sellout Edition

Two weeks to go until Christmas; instead of supporting the Corporate Machine, help support your Friendly, Internet Entrepreneurs!

Vox has released his latest novel, A Throne of Bones.  I just received my copy, so the review won’t be up for a while, but the man’s reputation should speak for itself.

Speaking of which, did I mention that I’ve published a novelBuy the Washington Time’s “Must read book of 2012” before it’s 2013!

And Aaron Clarey has a new book, too – Captain Capitalism’s Top Shelf: a collection of his best and most brilliant posts over the past six years.  I’ve only made it through a half-dozen so far, and the full review is pending, but I’m strongly recommending it as one of the better Christmas presents out there (and don’t forget about his other book Worthless, for the misguided college student).

The Way of Men, by Jack Donovanneed I say more?

Another one on my “to read” list – Breakfast with the Dirt Cult, by Samuel Finlay, a soldier’s story.  While I can’t officially recommend it (since I haven’t read it) yet, I am very much looking forward to it.  Give this one a shot.

And let’s not forget The Evolutionary Psychology Behind Politics, by the Anonymous Conservative – an absolute must-read for your budding Alt-Right Politician.  Go read his blog, it’s absolute brilliance.

But Christmas isn’t just about reading – it’s also about keeping warm!

Usanka.us is a Communist Watchdog site, run by the gentlemanly Karl who made this hat available to us all.  Aside from being Glorious, it’s also incredibly warm, has a removable banner, and is made of real dead animal according to the Captain.  Mine should arrive soon – in the meantime, take Aaron’s word for it!

And to go with Glorious Hat, why not a t-shirt or bumper sticker if that’s your thing?  Proud Producers have all of your Randroid needs!  That guy in the black MX-6 with the “Who is John Galt?” bumper sticker who just cut you off in traffic?  Yeah, that was me.

Let’s not forget about Christmas charity; The Blazing Catfur is needs your donations to help their legal defense fund.  Here on the Right we don’t have massive institutions and government-enforced special interest groups funding us; all we’ve got is each other.  Help them out by tossing some coins in the jar.

And have a Merry Christmas!

Why is it that right-wing authors use such derogatory rhetoric against “leftists”? Most left-wing people I know and talk to are intelligent if somewhat naive. I used to fall into this category. When viewed from the angle of helping other members of your “community” through a helping hand, it seems perfectly logical and correct to support left-leaning policies… until you begin to realize that what you’re truly embracing is centralized power to take and distribute resources; enabling unaccountable bureaucracy, corruption, and shifting power from the individual to socialized hierarchies which are given the power to dictate your individual fate. Inevitably, this socialization leads to individuals being treated as “masses”, “consumers”, “workers”, or whatever other faceless term is used to try to remove their individual humanity and understand them as part of some system (which is treated as more important than the individual).

While perhaps not representing the majority of leftists, they certainly represent a substantial enough minority to be regarded with some respect… because to do otherwise is to betray your own ignorance of what makes them believe in what they believe. You can’t claim to have a more masterful understand of how the world ticks along if you can’t even understand where they’re coming from and show them why their beliefs conflict and are therefore wrong.

If anything, these are the people who often end up becoming the “alt-right”.
