I would really like to know your opinion about the episode “War Stories” of the TV series Firefly.

Great video. Have you ever heard of the video game Phantom Brave? It came to my mind as another great example of a story with a female protagonist and uniquely thrives for it. The girl, Marona, is in a terrible, pitiful situation: she is an orphan that lives alone on an island with only ghosts to keep her company, and the same ability that lets her communicate with these ghosts makes her feared and hated by the rest of the world. The player ends up projecting himself not onto Marona, but her elder male guardian Phantom, Ash. The nature of the conflicts in the plot are such that they can only be resolved through Marona’s infinite compassion and empathy, not any form of masculine bravado or ambition. It’s a great game that I’d highly recommend, and it has kickass mechanics to boot.
