Donald Trump, Pat Buchanan, and the Culture War Speech
Donald Trump’s RNC acceptance speech was a high water mark for Republican politics. He captured the crowd, re-energizing America with a spirit that hadn’t been seen since Ronald Reagan. He covered all the points his supporters hoped he would; he added in new ammo which he’d been saving in reserve, vowing to tear down and replace Obamacare. He doubled down on his initial campaign promises, disproving those who said he’d moderate his tone after winning the primaries, while still reaching out an olive branch to Democrats and Bernie supporters betrayed by the Clintonian machine, and managed to turn her own slogan against her:
Her campaign slogan is ‘I’m with her.’ You know what my response to that? I’m with you, the American people.
Finally; a return to protectionist, America First, politics. An ousting of the neocons who’ve been putting America second for so long.
Decades.
In 1992 Pat Buchanan lost the primary race against George Bush Sr., and instead of pouting, and suggesting that the voters ‘Vote with their conscience’, he acted like a man – thanked his supporters – and said, “Now is the time when we must stand by George Bush!”
He not only immortalized himself with these words – what came to be known as the Culture War speech – he managed to leave a lasting impression on the Republican party, which is finally bearing fruit today. Do yourself a favour and listen to what he said; learn a bit of history, and see how right he was about the direction this country was headed in.
Finally – twenty-four years after he warned us – we’re ready to start turning it around.
Now let’s all make America great again!
It’s amazing to see how literally everything Pat Buchanan warned us about happened. Every single item in the culture war happened. I’m old enough to remember how at the time the media laughed at us and called his speech stupid and fear mongering. Yet here we are with gays having total power in America, Bruce Jenner was woman of the year, etc. Now the Democrats don’t even hide the fact that they plan to bring the third world here and give them voting right to destroy White political power once and for all.
When we see how Salon writes articles trying to humanize pedophiles and their degeneracy, we have a long record proving that it will happen if the left has power. We know what will happen if god forbid Hillary gets elected president. Let’s just be grateful that Trump is putting together a real coalition that can resist the leftist final destruction of our culture.
